As the Executive Manager, Privacy, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Privacy Officer to ensure the Group's compliance with privacy obligations. Your efforts will be instrumental in integrating privacy into Westpac's strategic and business priorities, particularly in the realms of data and records management. By effectively implementing these strategies, you will help maintain and enhance the trust and confidence of our customers, employees, and other stakeholders who entrust their personal information to the Westpac Group. Your work will be crucial in safeguarding their privacy and reinforcing Westpac's commitment to data protection and privacy excellence. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and implement the Group’s Privacy Program, ensuring effective frameworks, standards, and policies Provide privacy compliance advice and support business units with tools and methodologies for ongoing compliance Drive efficient processes, escalate and report privacy issues, and maintain relationships with regulators Develop strong internal stakeholder relationships, align privacy strategies with business goals, and collaborate with information security and other functions Proactively manage privacy knowledge gaps and support consistent data management practices Maintain transparent relationships with privacy regulators, share industry knowledge, and engage with external stakeholders to ensure a quality regulatory environment What’s in it for me? To excel in the role of Executive Manager, Privacy, you will need to demonstrate deep privacy expertise within a large organisation. Additionally, you should have experience in leveraging other risk classes, such as data and records management, to support the effective and consistent management of privacy risk. Further advantageous qualities and experience includes: Proven ability to utilise various risk categories (such as data and records management) to ensure effective and consistent privacy risk management Ability to develop, implement and communicate strategic programs across the role Ability to multitask with competing priorities whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience in implementing within programmes to achieve regulatory expectations and broader business strategy What’s it like to work there?
