Programmed Skilled Workforce, in partnership with TRONOX, is seeking a driven and motivated Laboratory Technician Trainee to undertake a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques over a 24-month period. About TRONOX:With 8 locations in Western Australia, Tronox mines and processes titanium ore, zircon, rare earths and other materials. They also manufacture titanium dioxide pigment, specialty-grade titanium dioxide products and high-purity titanium chemicals. The vivid white pigment produced from titanium dioxide, adds brightness and durability to paints, plastics, coatings and paper. Their global operations makes them one of the world's largest producers of titanium dioxide pigment. The Role:The Laboratory Technician Trainee will support the team to perform routine sampling and testing, record data, maintain lab equipment, and assist in complex tests. They will follow safety protocols and good lab practices while supporting quality systems. (would be advantageous)Essential criteria:Completion of Secondary Education (minimum)Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug & alcohol screen.The role will initially commence working 7.00am - 4.00pm on a 9-day fortnight. There is the expectation after a period of time, the trainee will transition to 12hr Day / Night Shifts Location: Kwinana Pigment Plant - Mason road Kwinana - Ideally you would live within a 40 minute commute from site.
