This role provides secretariat and administrative support to the CEO.
About the Role
The Executive Officer must be able to work under pressure, at times, to handle a wide variety of activities including confidential matters with discretion.
The key roles and tasks include:
* Coordinating the daily business of the CEO by managing appointments and organising meetings.
* Preparing and distributing agendas, papers, and minutes for various meetings and operational committee meetings.
* Assisting the CEO with special projects from time to time.
* Preparing confidential correspondence on behalf of the CEO and executive.
* Arranging travel itineraries for executives as requested.
* Covering the role of the Executive Administrator from time to time.
* Assisting with freedom of information requests.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce a broad range of quality written material for a variety of audiences.
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail and an ability to work autonomously.
* Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities and complete tasks to deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Advanced PC and document control knowledge and experience.
* Experience in corporate governance including preparation of Board agendas, papers and minutes and knowledge of relevant legislation, policy requirements and processes.
* Proven engagement, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with the capability to build and maintain relationships with Board members, management, staff and stakeholders.
