Leading the delivery of the department’s digital offerings and transformation, the CIO Division partners with business areas and stakeholders to:Realise the digital policy objectives of the department.Define the department’s digital landscape and strategies.Co-design digital experiences making it simpler to innovate, collaborate and communicate.Drive the innovation and transformation of ICT services and solutions.The Digital Services for Business (DSB) Branch delivers whole of government digital services to support Australian businesses. Our users are at the center of everything we do; we work closely with our business partners and other agencies to improve the business experience through simple, secure and connected digital government services.The opportunityWe are seeking to fill two Digital Delivery Manager positions within our Digital Services for Business Branch in the CIO Division. Digital Delivery Managers play a key part of the division’s leadership group as we deliver digital and ICT solutions to the Australian public and business, across the APS, and to departmental staff.Successful candidates will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams to drive the realisation of the Data and Digital Government Strategy, drive strategic engagement, continuous improvement, digital transformation and service delivery.Digital Delivery Manager - Business Engagement SystemsThe Business Engagement Systems team maintains and enhances one of the department's signature web platforms (business.gov.au) to connect, consolidate and streamline information for business across all levels of government.The team works closely with key internal stakeholders to deliver and support a number of businesses facing digital services including Australian Business Licensing Information Service, Employment Contract Builder and other discovery tools help businesses find grants and programs, advisers, and events and training.In addition, the team works closely with external stakeholders to maintain and deliver digital services including the ABN and SuperFund Lookup services.The Business Engagement Systems team utilises Agile ways of working and consists of multiple delivery teams and a support team responsible for level 2 and level 3 customer and technical support.Digital Delivery Manager - Grants PlatformThe Grants Platform team is responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing the department's external facing platform which underpins the Business Grants Hub. The Business Grants Hub is one of two whole of government offerings and focuses on supporting agencies across government to develop and deliver grants to Australian Businesses.The Grants Platform team utilises Agile ways of working and consists of multiple development teams and a support team responsible for level 2 and level 3 customer and technical support.There is an existing opportunity for the successful candidate to partner with the business area to drive transformation of the grants platform by integrating artificial intelligence and automation within the platform to deliver efficiencies and simplification in the grants lifecycle.Our ideal candidateOur ideal candidate will bring to the role:Project management experience and expertise in digital project delivery.Experience in effectively managing and leading teams to deliver positive business outcomes, and inspiring staff to bring their best selves to work.Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels.The ability to work and communicate effectively within a leadership group, collaborate with peers to deliver shared outcomes, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with an attention to detail.A passion for user-centered design ensuring the user is at the heart of the services delivered.If you have relevant experience and expertise with project delivery and working in ICT, we’d love to hear from you.What you will doAs a Digital Delivery Manager, you will:Build, maintain and influence positive working relationships with our delivery partners, technical experts and stakeholders across the division, department, and government.Work in partnership with business areas across the department to take responsibility for highly complex or sensitive projects that have strategic, political and/or operational significance, for the Department, other government agencies and/or our Australian citizens and the business community.Provide a high level of advice to senior management, promoting strategic objectives while addressing future departmental, divisional and stakeholder needs, and Whole-of-Government priorities.Manage and lead a diverse, multi-disciplinary team to deliver outcomes, including providing clear and consistent communication, and building capability in the team to succeed.Proactively lead a team to manage day to day risks and issues and when required, the ability to work collegiately and provide direction when under pressure during technical system incidents and disasters.Mentor, lead and promote the benefits of change to staff, displaying resilience and building organisational capability, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and mentorship.Manage financial budgets, procurements and recruitment activities in accordance with departmental and whole of government frameworks and processes.EligibilityMinimum of 2 years' experience in either ICT or project delivery roles.To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.NotesThe roles are open to candidates with relevant experience seeking either full-time or part-time employment.A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles.
