But enough about us, let's talk aboutyou Our City Parks Irrigation team is in the market for anexperienced, self-motivated and hard-working individual who iscompetent in the installation, maintenance and repairs to bothcommercial and domestic reticulation systems.
The Irrigation Technician is responsible for: Undertaking maintenance of the City's Parks, Gardens and Ovals irrigation systems in an efficient and effective manner Supervising minor irrigation works projects including the work of others Participating in the overall development and improvement of activities within the Section Supporting the City's water conservation objectives Ensuring Occupational Safety and Health requirements are observed and adhered to Providing high level customer service to internal and external customers Ensuring corporate responsibilities are observed and adhered to What can you bring to the team?
A Certificate III in Irrigation A minimum of 3 years' experience in irrigation installation, repair and maintenance of commercial and domestic reticulation systems Current unrestricted 'MR' (Medium Rigid) class national driver's licence Knowledge of centralised computer irrigation systems Previous experience in a parks and gardens environment Practical experience with hand and precision tools and minor plant Sound calculation and problem solving Ability to read and interpret maps, plans and diagrams Knowledge of artesian bores and the operation of pumps and relative equipment Basic design knowledge and quantity estimating Work limited supervision Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills The finer details This temporary full-time Level Four position attracts a salaryrange of pro-rata $70,252 - $72,759 gross per annum dependent onqualifications and experience and includes a Commuter UseVehicle.
