Duties
Lead the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Infrastructure team, with a customer-focused approach, to implement, manage, and retire the ICT infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services in accordance with current cybersecurity best practice, Agencies principles, strategies, and initiatives
Essential Requirements
Pre-Employment Checks
The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Such offences would include, but are not limited to:
1. Arson and fire setting;
2. Sexual offences;
3. Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
4. Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
5. Making false declarations;
6. Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
7. Malicious damage and destruction to property
8. Trafficking of narcotic substance;
9. False alarm raising.
Desirable Requirements
10. Professional IT knowledge gained through satisfactory completion of a relevant course of study at a tertiary institution and appropriate industry certificates.
11. Experience in the design, implementation, maintenance, and replacement of large complex ICT infrastructure environments.
12. Experience in designing, implementation, maintenance in, and migration to Azure cloud services.
13. Experience with VMWare virtualisation, Windows server operating systems, CommVault backup.
14. Experience in the management of ICT Infrastructure environments for critical 24x7 applications.
15. Current driver’s licence.
