About the Role
As a first point of contact the Dental Services Receptionist is required to ensure the patient flow is conducted with minimal interruptions by effectively using time management skills, informative communication skills while observing the overall demeanour of the patients in waiting.
Duties
* Actively contribute to the implementation of the Dental Services Model of Care with particular emphasis on the role of the Dental Services Receptionist.
* Commencement of Patient arrival and contact.
* Completion of Patient exit.
* Effectively prioritise attending to phone calls and messages while performing reception duties.
* Effectively manage appointments.
* Contribute to the success of the patient flow.
* Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.
* Ensure the handling of patient correspondence is in accordance with ATSICHS Privacy Policy and Procedures.
* Contribute towards ensuring the Dental Service Billing function is in accordance with the ATSICHS Policies and Procedures.
* Commit to ongoing CQI & Clinical Governance with annual reviews into the efficiency of the service provision.
* Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

COVID-19 Requirement
* Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged.
Required
* Certificate III Administration.
* Previous experience working in a Dental Services or Medical administration role.
* Previous experience working with culturally diverse people.
* Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
* An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications.
* Sound knowledge of Dental Services Administration processes e.g. Referral, booking patients, scanning confidential records.
* Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
Preferrable
* Previous experience working with Mmex.
* Previous experience with Dental Management Software e.g. Exact.
