EL2 Director, Data Strategy and Governance Unit The Treasury is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic leader for the Data Strategy and Governance Unit within the Data and Structural Analysis Branch, Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy Division.This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaborative team driving continuous improvement in how the Treasury governs, manages, and uses data.As a Director of the Data Strategy and Governance Unit you will: Support the Chief Data Officer to deliver strategic direction and advice on internal data policy and innovative data projects.Work collaboratively across diverse stakeholders to implement the Treasury's first Enterprise Data Strategy and begin development of its successor.Build momentum and visibility of the team's work program and support analytical and policy teams to make more of data.Work closely with the Australian Bureau of Statistics and other agencies on data policy proposals, including through Budget processes.Lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team with expertise in data governance, use, visualisation and policy, including coaching and developing staff.Represent Treasury at meetings, workshops and other forums.Contribute to the leadership and inclusive culture of the Branch and Division.Desirable Qualifications / Experience Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Demonstrated project management and stakeholder engagement skills.An understanding of Australia's public sector data landscape.#J-18808-Ljbffr
