The Opportunity
Our client is now looking for a full-time General Manager based in the Melanesia region.
Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for leading the business operations, driving strategic growth, and ensuring the successful execution of company policies and objectives.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Developing and implementing company policies and long-term business strategies
o Conducting business analyses to optimise financial performance, sales, and new product development
o Leading engineering functions, including design, product development, and quality assurance
o Providing technical expertise in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Cooling (HVAC) operations
o Overseeing financial planning, budget management, and capital expenditure approvals
o Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and clients
o Ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws
o Managing procurement processes and ensuring policy adherence
o Overseeing workforce performance, development, and operational efficiency
o Driving customer satisfaction while minimising operational delays
o Supporting business growth through strategic planning and project execution
What you'll bring
To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Management (or an equivalent qualification). A minimum of 10 years of technical and management experience in the HVAC industry or a related engineering field will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
o HVAC professional qualifications with relevant industry experience
o CRM experience
o Expertise in engineering, design, and product development in the HVAC sector
o Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management
o Knowledge of procurement processes and compliance requirements
o Proven ability to maintain relationships with key suppliers and clients
