Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience in OpenText Service Management (SMAX) for a long-term contract opportunity with one of the largest Federal Government Departments.
This is a contract role starting in March for a duration of 12 months plus 6 months of potential extension.
The preferred location for this role is Canberra with consideration for alternate bases in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
Overview:Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage, and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking, and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
Infrastructure Engineers, also known as System Administration Experts, install, manage, and maintain OpenText Service Management (SMAX).
The Systems Administration Experts are responsible for recommendations, evaluations, and maintaining ICT systems, applications, and infrastructure across systems and programs.
They resolve more complex systems and infrastructure-related incidents and problems.
Duties may include some or all of the following:Assist with delivery of an optimal strategic system landscapeManage the design, installation, and operation of the ICT system instance landscape, client, and transport processesProvide broad technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activitiesConfigure and manage all non-functional platform capabilities including job scheduling, output management, email, archiving, technical security, technical connectivity between software componentsManage the regular maintenance of patches and support packages for all technical layersManage the operation of backup, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions for IT systemsManage the administration and operation of solutionsManage and execute data archiving to forecast infrastructure growthManage technical operations for ICT solutions and interfacesDevelop plans for backups and disaster recovery, and execute those plans when necessaryPerform problem management and root cause analysisManage technical change managementLead and manage operations of a team, including overseeing work priorities and resource managementDevelop staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning Technical skills:Skills in OpenText: Management (SMAX) – experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining in all environments.
Experience with Service Management Tools, StreamServer, StudioServer, Presentment for SAP, Product integration into Services Australia Corporate ERP (R1P) system, Service Australia Legacy Software (Content Manager, ALOM, Fortify, UD, UFT, C&A), Fortify Audit Assistant Software, Content Manager, ALM Suite, DSS Testing/ITOM software, NetIQ Software, LoadRunner.
