Your new role
As an APS5 Program Officer, you will be part of a small team responsible for planning and implementing various aspects of grants programs. Your role will combine project management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, communication, and administration skills. You will use a research management system and other related systems to manage tasks, prepare and review documents, monitor budgets, and present data. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic projects and process improvements, fostering innovation and supporting organisational change.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in your role, you will need sound judgement, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing work environment. Demonstrated experience in managing projects or programs, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage high-level stakeholders are essential. You should have strong IT skills, particularly in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, and the ability to learn new systems. High-level oral and written communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and business improvement are also required.
