About the role
* Location: St George's Terrace, Perth
* Working Arrangements: In Office
* 12 months contract + Potential Extension
* $44/Hour + Super
* Full time position - 37.5 Hours per week
* Ideal Start Date: Mid August
* YOU MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN TO SECURE A ROLE
Duties will include but not limited to:
* Work within legislative and policy guidelines to document claims from veterans and their representatives for service-related injuries or health conditions.
* Create new client files and update existing records using records management systems to ensure data accuracy.
* Research and analyse sensitive client information to inform decisions on liability and entitlements.
* Communicate with clients or their representatives in writing to clarify information and update them on claim progress.
* Assess client eligibility for compensation and benefits based on provided information and established criteria.
* Forward claims to the assigned delegate for further determination.
* Approve invoices related to ongoing claims to process reimbursements to health service providers.
* Collaborate with colleagues and teams to verify information and provide updates on claim progress.
* Manage client claims and invoices received in the shared Inbox.
* Process requests from clients or representatives to withdraw rehabilitation and compensation claims.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various benefit types and related systems and processes, engaging in ongoing training.
* Mentor new staff to help them understand their roles, systems and legislation.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of improvements in systems, processes, and procedures.

* The ability to demonstrate empathy and patience for individual's circumstances is essential.
* The ability to show patience and listen to clients over the phone.
* Demonstrated ability to follow process, policy and legislation.
* Resilience, an analytical mind and a proactive attitude are all essential.
* Proven experience picking up internal software's and sounds knowledge of MS Suite.
