Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the resourcing function and provide input into strategic planning to ensure our current and future workforce are allocated to meet business outcomes whilst supporting individual career objectives including leading Crown Law's:Inclusion and Diversity recruitment initiatives.Bi-annual Crown Law Graduate Legal Clerk program.Management and coordination of Crown Law's group Attraction and Retention Incentive (ARI) scheme for Assistant Crown Solicitor's.Working for Queensland survey to ensure a high participation rate, communication of results and the development and implementation of action planning.Oversight of secretarial resourcing and training initiatives with the direct report of the Legal Support Coordinator.Management of Crown Law's contingent labor hire workforce and relationship management between Crown Law and external agencies.Provide strategic and operational leadership across people & culture activities including policy and planning, employee and industrial relations, performance management and performance monitoring.Lead and deliver strategic human resource initiatives to enhance organisational performance and to maximise the leadership, design, and capability of Crown Law's workforce.Provide specialist advice and recommendations to Executive and Senior Management on a wide range of contemporary human resource issues to enable and maximise the workforce for the delivery of legal services.Together with the Executive Manager, People & Culture, continue to develop and review systems and frameworks that guide, develop and coach Managers to effectively manage Crown Law staff and create high performers.Promote the adoption of regular performance feedback and development planning within Crown Law as a mechanism for achieving optimal employee engagement and productivity.Direct planning and delivery of strategic, tactical, and operational human resource services, which are aligned with Crown Law organisational priorities, focusing on the development of a culture which fosters collaboration, evidence-based decision making and accountability for performance and behaviour which is consistent with Crown Law objectives and the Queensland Public Service Code of Conduct.Partner with Senior and Executive Managers to coach in HR and ER matters and provide recommendations on decisions affecting the management of the workforce in line with service requirements and that is reflective of Crown Law's strategic objectives and values.Motivate and encourage the development of a strong, efficient, and effective professional team operating ethically and with a clear focus on delivering outcomes.Provide key inputs to the strategic workforce planning and Crown Law's employee strategies for engagement, attraction and retention and learning and development.Deal with complex Human Resource and Industrial Relations matters, including the liaison with the Public Sector Commission, union officials and departmental officers.Develop, implement and review strategic and client service initiatives in keeping with the current business plan and organisation objectives.Develop, deliver and/or contribute to the implementation and ongoing continuous improvement across all core functions of the team.Analyse and provide high level advice to senior managers on complex and significant workforce issues and develop appropriate solutions in consultation with clients.Develop strong partnerships with Crown Law executives to ensure that HR related issues are identified and managed in a proactive way.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
