Position Overview
On offer is a great opportunity to join the NBMLHD Lithgow Hospital Community as a Health and Security Assistant. This position is available as Permanent Full time or Part time to suit your working lifestyle.
This imperative role within the Hospital will see you maintain a high standard of security and documentation of events and assist with the management of aggressive and/or difficult patients and visitors, respond to alarm signals to ensure a safe and secure work environment for staff, patients and visitors.
Your role will see you undertake cleaning duties to a professional standard and per the local cleaning schedule and perform cleaning duties as rostered in accordance with Ministry of Health Standards and procedures, including terminal cleans, high cleaning, outside cleaning and removal of soiled linen to ensure infection control and quality standards are met.
Working as a team member at Lithgow Hospital will see you communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and contractors/suppliers and work to promote harmonious relations with the team and other services.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Current Security Licence (Class 1A)
* Ability and willingness to work shift work, unsupervised and part of a team
* Demonstrated sound, written & verbal communication skills
* Understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality principles
* Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements
* Previous experience working in a hospital/health setting is desirable
* Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
