As the WSLHD Fire Safety Officer you will support the District Fire Manager in ensuring fire safety compliance, education, and system maintenance across assigned directorates:
Overseeing fire safety equipment and prevention system updates.Coordinating staff training, evacuation exercises, and awareness programs.Managing fire safety administration, including procurement and rostering.Fostering relationships with internal and external emergency agencies.Supporting compliance and quality improvement initiatives within WSLHD.How to Apply:

Essential Criteria: Qualification: Healthcare Fire Safety Officer.Selection Criteria: Completed a Fire Safety Officer (Health) Accreditation Course, in accordance with N.S.W. Health Department Circular No 2010/24. Experience in the Healthcare Industry.Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (TAE40116) or equivalent. Or willingness to attain this qualification in 12 months from appointment.A current NSW Drivers Licence.Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of fire safety requirements.Demonstrated computer skills including the capacity to effectively use Microsoft Software including Outlook, Word and Excel, Oracle and Rostering systems.Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.Good knowledge and experience of Workplace Health & Safety NSW Legislation in respect of fire safety functions within a large public organisation including working knowledge of an Incident Investigation Management System and risk management principles.Proven ability to ensure that safe work practices are adopted and/or maintained within the area of responsibility.Requisition ID: REQ510994
