The Opportunity
The Facilities Supervisor oversees and manages the operational maintenance of multiple communities coupled with fostering and developing close relationships with all stakeholders in alignment with Halcyon’s mission, vision and values.
With direct managerial responsibilities for the Facilities Caretaking team, you will also be required to travel to communities, both regionally and interstate to ensure consistency across the LLC portfolio.
This role can be based in Brisbane or Gold Coast.
Your tasks will include:
• Maintaining of Regional Community Facilities, Grounds and Garden Activities
• Promote a positive environment within the communities by building close relationships and effective communication with internal and external service providers.
• Carry out any general maintenance requirements using discretion and escalate concerns/issues when necessary
• Plan and implement best practices to improve efficiency and processes across all communities.
• Formulate and implement operational strategies to best deliver the day-to-day work requirements
• Ensure quality on-going, operational maintenance of the community’s grounds, gardens, and facilities.
• Working collaboratively with and overseeing contractors and service providers
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing at various communities.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Min Certificate 3 in Landscaping, Horticultural studies &/or Leadership/Business Management
• Commercial Operators Licence in compliance with the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Act 1966 (ACDC) for weed spraying
• First Aid Certification is desirable
• C Class driver’s licence
• Extensive experience in landscaping/garden maintenance &/or facilities management
• Demonstrated experience in general maintenance and handy-man duties
• Experience within a community/lifestyle environment working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Strong ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of day-to-day requirements across multiple sites
• Solid negotiation and conflict management skills
• Flexibility with working hours to suit the needs of the regional communities
