The Role
Full-time, Post Graduate Fellow - Intensive Care, for a 12 month contract.
The position is a transitional role between that of Registrar and Consultant, with flexibility and graded responsibility to allow increasing clinical autonomy, on call responsibilities, and development of skills in research, education, and administration. The role will include a minimum of 0.2 FTE rostered non-clinical
To apply you must have (or be near completion) completed all the requirements of the College of Intensive Care Medicine for the commencement of February 2025.

The Location

The Facility
A level 4, 270 bed public hospital that offers a structured teaching program tailored to meet the individual needs of advanced trainees, supported by Staff Specialists with extensive experience in Intensive Care Medicine.
* The Intensive Care Unit is a tertiary level, mixed adult Intensive Care admitting over 600 patients a year
* The ICU is accredited by the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) for 2 years of core training and for the sub-specialities of Trauma, Cardiothoracic, and Neurosurgery.
* The intensive care trainees are exposed to a broad case mix of critically ill patients.
* 10 physical bed spaces currently with a plan to construct a new hospital in the next 5 years.
* Provides a range of acute and sub-acute services including community based care
The Requirements
* You must be registered with the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) and will have completed the CICM Part 2 examination, specialty rotations and all other requirements necessary to be eligible for the Fellow position.
