This is a permanent role working on a 7/7 shift roster, based in the Parkes region of central west NSW.
About the role
This position is within the Asset Management Department reporting to the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Co-Ordinator. You will provide leadership and effective supervision to your team in both Production and Development underground mining work areas. In this role you will allocate work, set priorities, manage work execution in both underground workshops, allocate resources, and support your team by providing clear guidance & technical expertise and effectively communicating with the mining team. You will provide leadership to ensure the performance of the mobile equipment fleet supports business performance and Zero Harm operations at Northparkes.
About you
Currently reside within the Parkes area or willing to relocate to Parkes/Forbes or the surrounding local government area.
1. Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a similar role within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
2. Proven track record leading a similar sized workforce.
3. Ability to lead by example and set the standard.
4. Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic Trade qualification.
5. Strong organisational and communication skills and people management qualities.
6. Strong commitment to safety as a way of work.
7. Current "C" Class Australian Drivers Licence.
