RSL Tasmania is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to step into the pivotal role of Head of Veteran Services, overseeing the delivery of our State-wide VeteranHub initiative and Veteran Services program. We are also the state-wide partner delivering VeteranHub, a Federal Government initiative providing free, centralised access to services that support Veterans and their families—from mental health to housing, compensation, employment and beyond.
THE POSITION As Head of Veteran Services, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across the Veteran Services division within VeteranHub Tasmania.
In the role, you'll guide service innovation, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support program development, all while leading a committed team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support where and when it's needed.
You'll be the key voice in shaping systems and advocating for change at all levels of government—bringing expertise, compassion, and vision to everything you do.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE PART OF OUR TEAM Tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Psychology or a related field with experience in delivering community-based servicesStrong leadership and operational management skills, including program oversightExperience in clinical governance, risk management and strategic planningA good understanding of the ADF environment and the unique challenges faced by Veterans and their familiesConfidence in working with partners, government agencies and community stakeholders to influence changeA current driver's license and willingness to travel statewideWHAT WE OFFER YOU IN RETURN We value our people and the contribution they make to our community.
