We are recruiting a qualified and highly experienced Welder to join our team.

This unique opportunity is open for a trade qualified, hardworking, and quality conscious Welder with proven metal work or fabrication experience, and workers who are happy to do a mixture of heavy manual labour, grinding and other preparation work as required.
The roles for the vacant position include but are not limited to: · Adhering to the work schedule established by the employer and maintaining a strong attendance record without excessive absenteeism.
· Following all safe work practices and complying with workplace safety regulations.
· Obtaining parts and materials necessary for welding tasks.
· Accessing areas to be welded by climbing ladders when required.
· Using disc grinders to smooth out parts, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
· Operating both manual and automated welding equipment to deposit metal from electrode to workpieces and joining edges of workpieces.
· Maintaining the length of the arc and speed of movement to achieve the specified depth of fusion and bead.
· Performing welding in all positions, including flat and vertical planes.
· Examining welds for bead size, appearance, and adherence to specifications.
· Grinding or cleaning welded joints of workpieces to ensure smooth surfaces.
· Repairing improperly welded pieces and filling holes as needed.
· Positioning and clamping workpieces together or assembling them in a jig fixture.
· Tack-welding assemblies together to form a complete product.
· Fabricating new or replacement components for structural steel applications.
· Carefully reviewing and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to fully understand the job requirements, including dimensions, materials, and welding techniques to be used.
The successful applicant must: · Have Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or above · Have at least three (3) years proven experience in structural steel preparation, fabrication and welding · Have experience using hand and power tools · Have prior experience with structural Mig welding · Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail · Be able to work unsupervised at any given time · Be able to understand and read plans independently · Have a valid driver's license and own transport · Bu punctual and have excellent time management skills
