Southern Cross Care QLD have an exciting opportunity for a casual Personal Carer to join our family at our Allora Homestead Residential Aged Care Home.
Located in the picturesque Southern Downs region of Queensland, Allora is only 20 minutes north of the thriving rural hub of Warwick.

About the role
Join our team as a Personal Carer and embrace our holistic approach to care, building cherished relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.
As a SCCQ Personal Carer you will be a part of a compassionate and dedicated team providing the highest standard of person-centred care to our residents. In this role, you will join a care team where compassion and empathy accompany the delivery of exceptional clinical and personal care to our residents every day.
Under the leadership of the Enrolled & Registered Nurses, you will demonstrate sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual resident's needs.
What you will bring to the role?
* You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)
* Medication Assist Competency (desirable)
* You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities
* You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
* You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner
* Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
* You must be flexible with your availability of days and shift times

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
Since then, SCCQ has grown to employ over 1000 staff caring for and supporting more than 2000 people across 13 residential aged care homes, 5 retirement villages, 28 social houses, the National Disability and Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and home care services in metropolitan and rural Queensland.
