General Description of the Role
The Assistant Brand Manager will drive the performance of the brand/s and the portfolio. Working alongside the Snr/Brand Manager, this position will support with brand ownership and play a critical role in the development and execution of the Annual Brand Plans achieving brand objectives (volume, share, CAAP and consumer KPIs including brand purchase funnel).
Key Responsibilities and Activities
1. Supporting development of brand strategy & Implementation of Brand Plans alongside the SBM
2. Accountable to deliver the brand portfolio’s day to day operational activities including monitoring the portfolio performance on a regular basis (Monthly / Quarterly)
3. Co-lead with the SBM/BM a collaborative partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure key priorities are delivered
4. Develop agency briefs for all elements of the marketing mix and day to day agency management; media, digital, owned channels, packaging, consumer promotions
5. Conduct regular trade visits to ensure execution on shelf, plannograms, pricing and visibility of brand
6. Work with cross functional team to ensure through-the-line execution of brand initiatives and consistency of message across all branded touchpoints, including :
7. Input into BTL messaging to ensure campaign consistency in on and off premise
8. Development of through the line campaigns
9. Development of promotional mechanics and giveaways
10. Work with experiential team for major brand activations
11. Go-to-market Market and innovation meetings
12. Global marketing team relationships with localisation of campaigns.
13. A&P Budget management for the brand portfolio, including creation of POs and processing invoices
14. New Product Development management of toll gate process
15. Action any adhoc key projects as requested by the SBM
16. Assist in the development and implementation of brand and marketing activities such as :
17. Develop best in class digital programs and lead the executions
18. CRM and eDM management
19. Website updates
20. Co-ordination of advertising, PR and trade marketing promotional activities
21. Sales and market analysis
22. Post activity reviews and evaluations
23. General marketing administrative duties as requested by the SBM
24. Adhoc partnership opportunities support
25. Become a brand expert – brand, consumer, category and competitor performance analysis and recommendations

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
1. Business acumen, understand commercial impact of marketing and not just execution
2. Business or marketing related degree or equivalent professional qualification essential
3. Minimum of 12 months’ marketing experience in Australia, as a Marketing Assistant or Assistant Brand Manager
4. Liquor industry, FMCG or agency experience preferred
5. Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
6. Experience of working with IRI an advantage
7. Proven experience in marketing and brand management
8. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
9. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
