Work in a dynamic and service focused teamExciting engineering opportunity to work within an innovative water and wastewater teamLeaseback Vehicle/ Vehicle AllowanceAbout the role This varied engineering role will see you in a hands-on role supporting the operational team in the provision of cost-effective water and wastewater service that meets regulatory requirements and defined levels of service and quality. This involves actively optimising both the water (potable and non-potable) and sewage treatment plant operations and maintenance processes through the provision of technical advice, completion of investigations and trials, implementation of process improvements, delivery of capital works projects and providing specialist input to major capital works delivered by others.
The role contributes to the day-to-day work and functioning of the operational team through collaboration with others to complete the programs and projects for the Section.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Key activities of this role include: Investigating faults, solving complex process issues and providing technical input and process advice to operators and staff.Ensuring relevant guidelines and legislation are met in the operation, management and maintenance of Sewage Treatment Plants, potable and non-potable Water Treatment Plants.Prepare technical reports, business cases and make recommendations for the future plant augmentations, plant operations and upgrades.Provide technical advice to treatment plant operators to resolve problems which are often complex in nature. This will require application of specialised knowledge and skills relevant to the water and sewage business.To be successful in this role, you will have: A Degree qualification in Science, Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.A current Class C Drivers Licence.A current Confined Spaces Certification or willingness to obtain.A valid Construction General Induction card - NSW SafeWork or equivalent.Experience in the operational aspects of water and sewerage treatment facilities, and the associated regulatory and reporting requirements.Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position ranges between $99.7k to $119.6k (dependent on skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation.We have a permanent full-time role available.This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite.This role is located at the Nexus Business Hub, North Wyong.Successful candidates will be required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B tetanus.Successful candidates will be required to undertake and pass a Confined Spaces medical.A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided within the range of vehicles available. A vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week may be paid if a vehicle is not available immediately for your use and will be paid until the vehicle is available.
