EssilorLuxottica, the leading name in the optical retail industry, is seeking an extraordinary Category Manager for our prestigious OPSM, Laubman & Pank and EYEQ brands in Australia and New Zealand. This position will be for a 12 month duration responsible for the strategic planning, development and execution of initiatives to maximise the sales and profit growth within the optical product category for the retail business. Successful applicants will have proven effectiveness in managing point of purchase drivers through in-depth category, market and commercial understanding. This role offers an opportunity to learn all things optics and will play a pivotal role in delivering ideal product assortments to meet our local customer needs.
Requirements for Success Develop and implement category strategies that align with the company's goals and objectivesDefine product positioning, pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximise revenue and profitabilityManage product lifecycle, including launches, refreshes and discontinuationsLeverage data analytics tools to monitor category performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisionsUse data insights to refine category strategies and improve overall performanceCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operation, Supply Chain and Marketing as well as external vendorsMaintain active range assortment that meets strategic business needs and the target customer groupsMonitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock availabilityManage budgets for category initiatives effectively and efficientlyServe as the expert on category and customer insights for the product portfolioSkills & Experience Bachelor Degree or equivalentMinimum 3 years of experience in category management, product management or a related role (Optical experience will be highly regarded)Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategiesExcellent communication and presentation skills to influence internal and external stakeholdersProficiency in project management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectivelyFamiliarity with SAP and BIAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPointSound knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand retail environmentWorking at EssilorLuxottica A career with EssilorLuxottica will offer you rewarding experiences and the opportunity to develop your skills every day.
