Purchasing/Receivables Officer

About the Role
On behalf of our client, a well-known retailer specialising in providing high-quality workwear and safety products, gforce is currently seeking a Purchasing/Receivables Officer to join their team for an exciting opportunity to contribute to their warehouse operations and inventory management. The successful candidate will play a key role in the daily management of stock, processing orders, and ensuring supplier relationships are well-maintained.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Receiving, unloading, counting, and stocking physical inventory
2. Picking, packing, and shipping customer orders
3. Managing inventory and maintaining accurate stock levels
4. Processing supplier returns and managing purchase orders
5. Maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring timely deliveries
6. Conducting rolling stocktakes and managing back-orders
7. Assisting with ongoing process improvements in the warehouse
8. Ensuring accurate data entry into the ERP system
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. Experience with inventory management and ERP systems
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
3. Excellent communication skills for internal and external collaboration
4. A positive, proactive attitude with a “can-do” approach
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
