Role Purpose
Reporting into the Head of Finance Operations, the Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for providing commercial and financial analysis to support the business in delivering its operational business plans. This financial analysis should result in actionable insights outlining value in delivery. The Senior Finance Analyst is also responsible for operational business-related finance activities and initiatives including interactions around the budget process and alignment to business planning, project costing analysis and insights into behavioural and process change, business case development and assessment, project cost/benefit analysis, as well as lead a number of finance projects.
Capabilities Required
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the business, including at an executive level.
• Proven skills in board reporting, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Excellent project management capabilities and delivery focused encompassed by strong stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to make commercially driven decisions and recommendations and influence business stakeholders in the delivery of insights
• Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with ability to think strategically.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solve.
• Advanced skill in the use of MS Office software suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience
• Proven experience in financial analytics and insights, with a track record of success in a similar role.
• Strong corporate finance acumen experience, emphasizing business support and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or a similar discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification desirable.
