The Role
Reporting to the Manager Project Delivery, the role forms part of the Major Projects team in the Infrastructure and Environment division. The role will play a key role in delivering some of the City’s most exciting high-profile projects. In the position, you will plan, procure, and execute high-profile projects and engage with stakeholders to deliver projects with a true business partnering approach for the City of Ballarat.
About You
The City of Ballarat is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Project Manager with experience in project management and in the building and construction industry. To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will demonstrate your ability to plan and prioritise projects within a set timeframe and work collaboratively with stakeholders and contractors to deliver desired outcomes. You will have strong project management experience in successfully delivering community infrastructure projects in excess of $5m. You will be driven to deliver outcomes with a collaborative approach and be a strategic thinker equipped with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities and the confidence to navigate complex relationships and interact with key internal and external stakeholders.
Good knowledge of project management principles with recent experience in site supervisory and managing contractors in the building industry would be highly desirable. Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields of construction management, engineering, project management, or architecture are also desirable, along with experience working within a government department.
