Working together, KBR and SA Water have a collective goal of delivering a $1.8 billion capital investment program of interesting and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure across South Australia. To do this we are innovating by adapting a better, more sophisticated approach to how we plan, manage, and deliver new programs. In this role you will be embedded in SA Water working on behalf of the community to improve safety, reliability, cost and communication.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Safety Adviser you will be integrated into SA Water supporting a large portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure programs and projects. Liaising and collaborating with an extensive stakeholder group of construction partners, vendors, regulators and SA Water will be critical as you drive the program to beneficial outcomes.
Our collective goal is to deliver an efficient capital program and infrastructure projects from inception to close out safely, on time, within budget and to customer and community expectations. You will participate in identifying and mitigating WHS risk across the program. You will provide safety governance, support and partnership to various contractor organisations as well as monitor the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives, ensuring the approach to safety is consistent, lessons learnt are shared and best practice is achieved.
Who are you?
The Senior Safety Advisor is expected to have relevant tertiary qualifications and experience. Having a solid understanding of safety management systems, risk management strategies, internal auditing and relatd legislation is imperative.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Advocating for and upholding the highest level of safety across multiple concurrent infrastructure, maintenance and construction projects
2. Leading safety governance and assurance programs on behalf of KBR & SA Water
3. Incident management and prevention across live sites, corporate offices, 3rd party areas and sub-contractor environments
4. Running workshops, group meetings, safety walks, toolbox talks and training sessions
5. Identifying improvements, areas for innovation and technology based solutions
