In this role you will drive and support sustainability, continuous improvement and operational initiatives, ensuring compliance and delivering effective and innovative waste management solutions. You will assist the operational team in managing and improving performance in sustainability, operational effectiveness and technology adaption. Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Lead and manage sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives to meet objectives. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety obligations, meeting contract requirements and agreed outcomes. Develop, execute and review project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for waste management initiatives. Collaborate with the Client and internal teams to align projects with stakeholder goals and organizational priorities. Research and recommend innovative technologies to improve sustainability outcomes and waste management practices. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, delivering actionable insights and progress updates to stakeholders. Create and implement tools, resources, and change programs to support contract objectives, documenting and communicating results for continuous improvement. Assist with reporting activities, including data analysis and data collection, where required. Analyse and manage data for reporting, ensuring it informs decision-making and demonstrates contract performance. Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of waste services. Champion the use of digital tools and systems, promoting efficiency, accountability, and service confirmation. Other duties as required within the scope of the role. Qualifications, skills and experience required: Tertiary qualification in project management, environmental science, sustainability, business or continuous improvement or related discipline. Strong understanding of and demonstrable experience in proactively leading a positive work culture. Proven ability to build relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service. Ability to work independently, create new and innovative ideas to improve operational, sustainability or cultural outcomes. Strong time management & works in a structured manner. Intermediate level of knowledge of MS Office packages and computer literacy. Experience in working within fast paced operational environments (Desirable).
