As Manager, BCM you will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating BAU risk in the Fraud and Scams space. You will proactively manage risk relevant to Fraud and Scams through appropriate controls, ensuring risk appetite alignment with applicable divisions and the Westpac Group. You will provide first line-of-defence management with respect to the risk and control environment through actioning controls reviews, incident and issue rectification, and ensuring BAU risk is effectively mitigated through timely and informed risk advice, as well as your ability to capture the risks involved with any Fraud and Scam project initiatives. Furthermore, you will work to simplify the control environment and work on incident and issue root cause analysis, with a view to uplifting the control environment. Other additional responsibilities include: Undertake thematic reviews of the business and its processes Report to divisional governance forums providing Fraud and Scam risk insights and key call outs Assist Senior Management in uplifting frameworks and controls to more effectively manage and monitor risk What’s in it for me? To be successful within this role you must have prior First Line risk management experience in Fraud and Scams or Financial Crime within the banking and financial services industry or consulting/professional services. You must also have demonstratable experience in developing risk frameworks, testing risk controls, and managing risk incidents and issues.Other advantageous attributes include:• Strong communication and teamwork skills• Strong influencing and negotiating skills• Strong attention to details and presenting skills• Experience with JIRA and Confluence is also advantageous What’s it like to work there?
