The Position Summary
The successful applicant for this Grade 2 Occupational Therapy position will apply their knowledge, skill and expertise to deliver excellent clinical service to acutely unwell general medicine patients.
The General Medicine component of this role will offer acute services at Alfred Health and will work closely with the Grade 3 Occupational Therapist and multi-disciplinary team to provide a high level of patient-centred and evidence-based care.
This position is 5 days per week at Sandringham and Caulfield Hospitals, including 1 weekend day.
At a Grade 2 level, Occupational Therapists are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing strongly to the multi-disciplinary team via the provision of high-quality inpatient assessment and intervention. It is an expectation that Grade 2 clinicians will lead various teaching/training and quality improvement activities across the Occupational Therapy Service, and will be responsible for the supervision and mentoring of junior Occupational Therapy staff, Allied Health Assistants and/or undergraduate students.

Applicants must also have the following qualifications
18. B. App Sc (OT), B. Occupational Therapy, MOT prac or recognised equivalent.
19. Full Registration held with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
20. Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership).
21. Minimum three years of clinical experience in Occupational Therapy.
22. Current Victorian Driver’s License (unrestricted).
23. Current Working with Children’s Check.
