The Role As an experienced Senior Mechatronics Engineer, you will join the technology development team, developing innovative technologies to proof-of-concept stage. As part of the wider R&D function you will act as internal subject matter expert in electromechanical systems and foster a culture of innovation and creativity to identify and solve complex technical problems. Ideate, prototype, test and de-risk technology concepts for areas of unmet need Own the mechatronics aspects of the technology development team and provide expert insight into projects Conduct research, document findings, present reports Analyse data to determine trends and recommend outcomes Design and develop prototypes that investigate areas of interest Formulate engineering solutions to complex problems Display and foster a sense of discipline around concept definition, experimental design and risk management Develop effective relationships with external experts in strategic technical disciplines Skills and experience We are seeking a creative, senior engineer from an in-house, consultancy or academic background, with proven experience in developing technology innovations. You will be a subject matter expert in electromechanical systems and thrive in a dynamic start-up style environment where you are required to think on your feet and bring your team together to analyse and solve complex problems.
