As we expand our capabilities, we are seeking experienced Senior Architects to drive our IT initiatives and support the growth of our utilities operations.Job Description :We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Architect with a strong background in information technology and utilities to join our team on an initial 12-month contract basis. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing IT architecture that supports our utilities infrastructure and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our technology solutions align with business goals and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities :Design and develop comprehensive IT architecture frameworks that align with the strategic objectives of the utilities sector.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current systems, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.Lead the architecture and design of scalable, secure, and resilient IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer service within the utilities domain.Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, tools, and platforms to support utilities operations, including asset management, grid management, and customer engagement.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in IT governance and architecture.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and IT team members.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges related to IT infrastructure and architecture.Prepare and present architectural models, design documentation, and project proposals to stakeholders and executive leadership.Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to utilities and information technology.Qualifications :Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years of experience in the utilities industry.Strong knowledge of utility-specific technologies and processes, including smart grid, SCADA systems, GIS, asset management, and customer information systems.Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.), microservices architecture, and data integration solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, ITIL) are a plus.
