Experience in retail, customer service, or the music instrument industry is highly valued, but above all, we’re looking for someone with the energy, enthusiasm, and ability to inspire customers on their musical journey.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience: Deliver outstanding service by warmly greeting customers, understanding their needs, and providing expert guidance on product selection.
Product Demonstration: Engage customers by demonstrating the unique features and benefits of our product range, tailoring presentations to suit a variety of skill levels—from beginners to professional musicians.
Retail Operations: Assist with day-to-day store operations, including stock management, maintaining a visually inspiring store layout.
Sales Excellence: Achieve sales targets by building strong relationships with customers, understanding their goals, and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs.
Event Collaboration: Support and host in-store events, such as product launches, live demonstrations, workshops, and educational sessions, to enhance the store’s reputation as a hub for music lovers.
Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for the store’s social media channels to connect with local customers and promote upcoming events or new products.
Community Engagement: Build connections with local educators, schools, and music organisations to promote the business and drive awareness of our product offerings.
Customer Feedback: Collect insights and feedback from customers to share with the broader team and contribute to the continuous improvement of the business.
Key Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone who brings the following to the team:
A strong passion for music and an appreciation for pianos (the ability to play piano is a bonus but not essential).
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and build trust with a wide range of customers.
Proven experience in retail or a consumer-facing role, preferably within a premium or high-value product category.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex product features and benefits for customers of all levels.
A creative approach to retail display and the ability to maintain a visually stunning store environment.
Digital marketing skills, particularly experience with social media platforms, to promote in-store activity and engage with the local music community.
A proactive and adaptable attitude, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet sales goals.
A keen interest in music education and a customer-centric approach to promoting products as tools for inspiration and growth.
