Job Description
The Environment and Community Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for providing advice and assistance on environment and community policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring they are implemented and maintained.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
1. Plan and manage the site management systems for HSEC Standards and ensure that managers, superintendents, Supervisor/OCE’s and employees are familiar with the intent of these standards and using them to the fullest extent possible.
2. Manage compliance with regulatory environmental requirements, HVO Standards and Mine Standards.
3. Provide advice regarding community requirements and environmental requirements and associated performance.
4. Identify and manage community and other stakeholders' expectations and relationships.
5. Establish and manage management systems for environment and community impacts of mine operations and philanthropy.
6. Development and maintenance of Environmental standards and the preparation of reports to meet site and corporate requirements.
7. Leadership of a team of environmental professionals.

* Monday to Friday professional roster
* Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)
About You
* High organisational, target-based abilities.
* Demonstrated commitment to a high-performing safety culture.
* Relevant tertiary education in an Environmental Science or similar degree.
* Previous experience in the industry.
* High levels of interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation requirements in your field.
