As a Sourcing Coordinator, you will support the Smiggle Product & Sourcing team in managing the product development process and ensuring effective order and delivery of goods from concept to factory to stores.

About the Role
This role is a key interface between the product development team and suppliers. You will work closely with the Senior Product Developer and other departments to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of issues and priorities.
Responsibilities
* Manage the production process against a critical time path to ensure key deadlines are met
* Negotiate with off-shore suppliers to ensure on-time and on-cost delivery of quality products
* Manage sample approvals, including pre-production and shipment samples
* Work with suppliers and key departments to ensure all stakeholders are informed of issues and priorities
* Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all product quality and compliance requirements are met
Skill Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a Buying Assistant/Assistant Buyer role (minimum 1-2 years)
* Sourcing experience in a general merchandise or stationery environment (preferred)
* Strong cost negotiation skills and attention to detail
* Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong initiative, problem-solving, and communication skills
