Security Partner Manager SNSW Grade 11/121 x ongoing Full-TimeHeadquarter location is McKell, Sydney As the Security Partner Manager, you will collaborate with digital product teams to enhance people, processes, and practices through capability uplift, secure by design practices, and implementation of initiatives to ensure security compliance and reduce the cyber risk to the citizen and Service NSW. Responsibilities include: Developing high-level architecture diagrams, process sequence diagrams, and data flows to improve visibility of product architecture. Conducting thorough threat modelling exercises to identify and assess potential risks. Prioritising and addressing areas of risk. Identifying opportunities for enhancing security integration. Contributing to the gathering and presentation of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to demonstrate the performance of the portfolio. The security partners are a pivotal role in cyber, acting as the conduit for our digital colleagues, ensuring that communication and collaboration across teams are seamless and efficient. The successful candidate needs to be a hands-on technical leader, with the breadth of experience of digital technologies to communicate effectively and command the respect of subject matter experts who can help deep dive into different areas of application development. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to both lead and participate in a team making use of agile principles. You will need hands-on experience of software application development and the ability to advise and work with our principles and heads of engineering while ensuring you have substantial cyber security expertise. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside practical experience in threat modelling and conducting workshops and analysing the threat landscape to advise and prioritise activities. You must be a go-getter, proactive, and driven by a thirst for continuous learning in current development practices. Additionally, you will act as a pillar of knowledge for SMEs across the digital platform, including engineers, architects, and data analysts, from the most senior levels to juniors. By serving as a trusted advisor, the individual will gain confidence and be capable of negotiating and offering expertise in all cyber-related matters. In this role, the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights will be paramount. Salary SNSW Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $157,569 base plus superannuation.
