About us The Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (MISC) is the first facility in Queensland dedicated to advancing the latest Ultra Minimally Invasive Musculoskeletal Interventions and Surgeries.MISC is home to Maguire Upper Limb, Sports and Orthopaedic Specialists and the Carpal Tunnel Clinic Gold Coast.As a licensed and accredited day hospital, we seek nurses to join our growing team, including practice, scrub, scout, recovery, anaesthetics, and sterilization services nurses.Our primary need, however, is for scrub/scout nurses.New graduates, enrolled, registered, and dental nurses are encouraged to apply and be trained by our experienced senior scrub nurse, formerly a NUM, at a busy Private Hospital Operating Theatre.Semi-retired or retired Scrub nurses wanting one or two shifts a week are also encouraged to apply.To be considered, please attach a cover letter and resume to your application.Your role and responsibilities as a scrub/scout nurse: Assisting with procedures and interventionsTheatre set-up (including sterile and aseptic procedures and surgeries)Scrubbing and scouting in theatreAssisting with sterilisation when requiredCovering other peri-operative roles on occasion, e.g. Recovery nursing, anaesthetic nursingYour role and responsibilities as a practice nurse would include the following: Assisting specialists with consulting clinics, including the booking of theatre lists and patient examinationsPre-admission of patientsAssisting with sterilisation when requiredStock managementQuality improvement and accreditationTraining in Perioperative roles, including scrub/scout nursing, recovery nursing and anaesthetic nursingEssential Criteria and Requirements for Scrub/Scout role: Current AHPRA registrationExperience with scrubbing/scouting in theatreMicrosoft Office ExperienceGood organisation skillsDesirable but not essential criteria: Typing or admin skillsExperience using Gentu or Fydo softwareAdmin Experience Sales Experience Accreditation ExperienceSterilisation ExperienceKnowledge of National Safety & Quality Health Service StandardsExcellent phone manners and skillsWhy work for us?
