Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary objective: Supervise a team providing efficient and effective accounts receivable services to client agencies regarding issuing invoices, processing receipts, and managing government debtor accounts.Key duties and responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate an Accounts Receivable team ensuring that invoices are issued, and receipts are processed accurately and timely.Manage a portfolio of government agencies ensuring that debtor balances are maintained at appropriate levels.Resolve complex and contentious issues concerning customer debtor accounts promptly.Liaise with the Chief Receiver of Territory Monies on cash clearing account reconciliations.Facilitate the ongoing development of the team's knowledge and technical expertise.Seek opportunities for streamlined work practices.Selection criteria:High standard of interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.Understanding of supervisor responsibilities in relation to EEO, OH&S, and change management.Proven ability to use information systems and knowledge to utilise various applications effectively.Thorough knowledge and experience of accounts processing.Good understanding of GST legislation and its effects on account payments.Experience in developing and providing friendly and efficient client service.Demonstrated work ethic embodying DCDD values of professionalism, accountability, honesty, respect, and innovation.The successful applicant may be required to undergo a criminal history check.
