About The RoleClosing Date: 09/03/2025This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse to take on the role of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Coordinator at Nolan House, the mental health inpatient unit at Albury Base Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you will play a key role in leading and coordinating ECT services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of this essential treatment for individuals experiencing severe mental health conditions. This role offers the chance to contribute to best-practice mental health care while supporting staff development and service improvement.
Qualifications & ExperienceWhat We're Looking For: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered NursePostgraduate Diploma or Master's in Mental Health Nursing (or working towards)Completion of, or willingness to complete, an accredited ECT training programExperience in mental health nursing with a strong understanding of ECT procedures and protocolsSkills & Attributes Expertise in clinical assessment and patient care planningStrong leadership and coordination skills to oversee ECT servicesExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teamsCommitment to best-practice standards and quality improvement initiativesAbility to educate and support staff on ECT procedures and guidelinesDesirable Experience in coordinating ECT services within a healthcare settingKnowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and accreditation standards related to ECTSkills in training and mentoring staff in ECT best practicesWhy Join Us?
