Job Summary:
Collarcare® are partnered with health services across Australia and we are currently seeking Registered Nurses for hospital contracts in NSW. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Short Stay Unit and Emergency Department. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in both the short stay and emergency settings. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to manage a variety of urgent and emergent situations, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.
About the Role:
* Assess and triage patients in the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.
* Provide immediate and effective care for a range of acute medical conditions and emergencies.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
* Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
* Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
* Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and follow-up care.
* Document all patient interactions and care accurately.
* Collaborate with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
* Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for patient care.
Key Requirements:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Triage experience and / certification
* Current National Police Check
* NDIS Clearance / Willingness to Obtain
* ALS, BLS and PALS Certification
* 1 year of experience working in an Australian Health Setting
* Previous experience in emergency care or a similar high-pressure medical setting is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of emergency and acute care nursing practices.
* Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
