Technical Writer
1. 9 Months Contract with a view to extension

3. Location – Melbourne (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days in the office)
4. Rate on offer up to $1000 per day (Incl super)
About the role:
The technical writer will join the client’s team to create, uplift and/or maintain critical work instructions that support the processes undertaken by CIR analysts in their remediation of customer profiles against aggressive regulatory commitments.
Primary responsibilities:
5. Prepare, review, revise, and maintain work instructions (WIs) for onshore and offshore audiences.
6. Work alongside a Senior BA and Operational SMEs to collect, analyse and distil information into simple and easy to follow content, including structuring/classifying content into sub-processes that align to documented processes and simplify analyst consumption
7. Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural WIs for analysts and trainers too agreed standard, including uplifting existing content to ensure consistency of style and format
8. Work with HCD Consultants to undertake useability and correctness testing for content produced and incorporate HCD insights into the content generated.
Key Accountabilities
9. Review, creation, uplift and maintenance of operational work instructions for CIR analysts
10. Meet agreed deadlines for the completion of all content work.
11. Standardise content format and quality across CIR work instructions catalogue, and standards
12. Simple and effective communication of content
13. Support the development of, and adherence to, change governance frameworks for all content produced
Essential capabilities:
14. Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
15. Collaborates well with others, including the ability to extract and validate information from SMEs
16. Ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
17. Ability to consider and deliver to the needs of offshore teams when creating content.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
18. Experience in HCD principles and their application to technical content
Skills/Experience:
19. 3+ years as an effective technical/instructional writer
20. Experience in writing documentation and procedural content for large operational teams, including offshore teams.
Qualification
21. Tertiary qualified in Communications or another relevant field
