Team Lead Medical Oncology Clinical TrialsJob no: 501932 Work type: Fixed Term Location: South Brisbane Categories: Clinical Nursing/Midwifery, Registered Nurse/Midwife, Research About the role Mater Research is looking for a Team Lead Medical Oncology Clinical Trials to join the Medical Oncology Division. This fixed-term, full-time role will be based at our South Brisbane campus as maternity leave coverage.
The Senior Lead Medical Oncology Clinical Trials leads the Medical Oncology clinical trial team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality and compliant clinical trials at Mater Research. The role is a member of the Mater Clinical Trial Leadership team responsible for streamlining processes and ensuring compliance with the national clinical trial governance framework.
This role requires AHPRA nursing registration and a minimum of five years' experience in oncology nursing, senior leadership, and research experience. Responsibilities include supervising the medical oncology clinical trials research team, managing start-up activities, compliance, financial management, staffing allocation, and maintaining trial treatment pathways through to close-out.
The Senior Lead Clinical Trials will work collaboratively with Principal Investigators, Senior Manager of Clinical Trials, other team leads, direct reports, and internal and external stakeholders to create a positive environment that achieves best practice outcomes in clinical trials. There is an overarching requirement that clinical trials are compliant with applicable local, national, and international regulations and standards.
About you You will be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years' experience in oncology nursing (including qualification in administering chemotherapy and related cancer treatments) and experience in a relevant field of research. You will also meet the below criteria:
