You will be implementing strategic health and safety programs, managing risk and ensuring compliance across the operational site.This role will see you leading collaboration across functions and operational teams, driving a culture of continuous health and safety performance, delivering AGL's goal of zero harm.What you'll be doing: Developing and implementing best-practice safety culture across site, with a focus on continuous improvement.Leading a high-performing team that identifies and analyses trends, provides solutions and drives improvement across the operational teams and business units.Undertaking risk management activities including risk assessments, safety observations and application of risk management principles.Reviewing Contractor H&S Management Plans ensuring alignment with AGL's requirements.Developing and maintaining systematic processes for assessing and managing H&S risks, including risk registers, critical controls evaluation, and reporting.Actively contributing to HSE and Local Operations leadership teams by sharing insights, offering solutions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.What you'll bring: Tertiary qualifications in WHS Management; Occupational Hygiene competency desirable.Extensive leadership experience in H&S within high-risk industries like oil and gas or mining.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Expertise in health monitoring programs, medical surveillance, and reporting.Skilled in risk management, safety systems implementation, auditing, and project delivery.Applications close 6 December.Inclusion at AGLAt AGL, we value diversity and welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, culturally diverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
