You will be supporting the business achieve its short-term and long-term strategic and financial goals. This will be delivered by; analysing business activity, ad-hoc and routine analysis, as well as developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and cashflow. Your leadership and stakeholder management skills will be paramount to this role.Further responsibilities:
Build and validate complex business cases in connection with initiatives and business transformation, ensuring to justify potential investment and quantifying benefit, in support of the company’s growth strategy
Engage with cross functional teams to manage the business and drive continuous improvement.
Support the CFO, GMs and ELT members with Ad Hoc analysis and insight into the financial performance of the group and divisions.
Support business group delivery of successful financial outcomes through analysis and KPI monitoring.
Oversee, manage and improve divisional, line and/or route profitability and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
Systematize financial models and reports
Monitor, review and prepare the presentation of the management financials for discussion with the relevant executive member and their leadership team, including supporting the executive in reviewing the financial performance of their leadership team’s departments
Oversee the provision of rolling reforecasts and any recurring structured budget development, ensuring accurate and appropriate use of key business performance metrics and relevant function owner support
Support the Transformation Program, through baseline analysis, development of benefits realisation KPIs and tracking of performance against business cases
Oversee and provide advice for preparation of Board Papers by GMs and executives
Develop business partners and analysts into future leaders
Leadership of the Financial Planning and Analysis teams both your direct reports and the wider team
Assess and implement the most appropriate team structure, ensuring team leaders have the right leadership skills and subject matter capability for their respective functions
Proactively work with internal stakeholders across the VA Group
You’ll be great in this role if you…
Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Finance or similar
Extensive experience in developing forecast models and complex business cases
Outstanding Leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of developing junior team members
Extensive experience in Business Partnering and Finance Support of the business units
Development of KPIs and performance hurdles for new business proposals
Proven track record in improving processes and delivering against deadlines
Experience in preparing presentations and analysis for executives and boards
Excellent presentation skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to think strategically and implement initiatives in a way that delivers business outcomes
High level of knowledge and understanding of the commercial drivers for the profitability of a large, corporate business
