As an Advisor (Public Transport Finance - SEQ), you will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of public transport service contracts, supporting financial management practices, and helping to shape sustainable transport solutions for communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process contract payment data into Translink's payment systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity, while meeting deadlines and compliance standards.
* Provide financial advice and budget management support to internal stakeholders and assist with month-end processes and cash flow requirements for contract payments.
* Build strong relationships with contract management teams, service providers, and other stakeholders to drive value for money outcomes.
* Assist with secretarial duties for finance meetings and maintain record management systems.
About You:
We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and demonstrates:
* Strong financial skills, including contract payments, financial analysis, and complex issue resolution.
* The ability to meet tight deadlines with precision and accuracy.
* Clear communication skills to explain complex financial issues to a broad audience.
* Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Power Query, and SharePoint.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in contractual finance, including complex payment processing.
* Proven ability to prioritise, manage month-end processing, and develop budgets.
* Criminal history check prior to appointment (due to access to sensitive data).
