Head Of Media | Victorian Government | AustraliaPosition OverviewCommunications Media and Marketing is part of the Corporate Affairs unit and supports all communications materials, internal marketing, and events while providing updates and targeted direct mail and messaging about all building and plumbing regulatory requirements and changes. This key role is critical in repositioning and protecting the VBA's public image and in providing expert advice to the leaders on how to respond to matters considered newsworthy and in the public interest. Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications and Media, the Head of Media is tasked with generating and monitoring high-quality original content for traditional media, social media, and video.What We Are Looking For: An understanding of building issues in the media and the political environment.Experience at a major media outlet and/or experience on a major government project.A skill set encompassing tertiary communications qualifications, relevant experience, strategic thinking, advanced relationship management skills, a deep understanding of media and stakeholder motivations, and an ability to navigate complex and often urgent situations.VBA Commitment The Victorian Building Authority embraces a diverse and inclusive culture that works together for the benefit of all Victorians.
