Local Building Inspector (UPDATED PAY RANGE) The Town of Grafton is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Grafton Local Building Inspector.This role involves a combination of administrative, technical, and field inspection responsibilities focused on upholding the Massachusetts State Building Code, Grafton Zoning Bylaws, and other relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities: Reviewing and approving plans and building permit applications.Conducting inspections of ongoing construction projects to ensure compliance with national, state, and local building codes as well as Grafton Zoning Bylaws.Issuing certificates of inspection and stop work orders.Investigating complaints related to building code and zoning violations. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in construction management, design, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or a master craftsman-level of building construction trades knowledge.A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in building construction or design.Must hold a valid MA Construction Supervisor License and Local Inspector Certification.
