About the role The Education and Community Engagement Officer is responsible for coordinating, developing, and delivering impactful education projects and school programs within the designated region, fostering partnerships with government departments, NGOs, and community-controlled organisations to enhance the organisation's profile and reach. The role contributes to the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of education and community-focused initiatives, supporting broader organisational goals. Additionally, the officer collaborates with the Communications team to promote project outcomes and identify opportunities for community health promotion, reinforcing the organisation's mission to empower communities through education and engagement. Selection criteria: Experience in sexual & reproductive health promotion and/or Education framework. Working with people with disabilities and people with complex needs, along with people from diverse backgrounds including migrant and refugee, LGBTIQ+, and young people at risk. Knowledge or experience within child safety or child protection sector. Sexual and reproductive health knowledge and/or experience. Skills in the development, delivery, and evaluation of varied school-based and community education programs for children, young people, and other community members both online and face-to-face. Demonstrated ability to facilitate consultations with key stakeholders. Skills in research, monitoring, and evaluation of education and health programs.
