Curtin University is seeking a creative and strategic Marketing Coordinator to join our Future of Work Institute (FOWI). This role is crucial in promoting our research initiatives, enhancing our public relations, and increasing our visibility to both internal and external stakeholders. As our Marketing Coordinator, you will play a vital role in driving engagement, managing stakeholder relations, and aligning our strategic communications with our evolving research needs.
Key responsibilities:
* Strategic Marketing: Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to promote the Institute's research outcomes and initiatives, including conducting market research and identifying new opportunities.
* Media Management: Coordinate and manage media campaigns, including execution, tracking, and evaluation. Oversee the institute's online presence through website, social media, and newsletters.
* Brand and Stakeholder Relations: Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, act as the main media contact, and liaise with staff, stakeholders, and partners to enhance the Institute's public profile.
* Research Translation: Managing internal and external stakeholder such as graphic designers to transform academic research into accessible communication products, aligning campaigns with digital strategy and conducting interviews for news stories and testimonials.
* Event Planning and Content Production: Organise high-profile events, manage budgets, and oversee a graphic designer for content production and design of major external communication assets.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A relevant degree in communications, media, public relations, or a related field, complemented by substantial industry experience.
* Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive communications and engagement strategies.
* Exceptional skills in research translation and content creation, with the ability to effectively adapt complex academic and technical information for diverse audiences across various media platforms.
* Demonstrated success in managing paid and owned media advertising campaigns, including experience collaborating with external agencies to achieve strategic objectives.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of professional stakeholder engagement at all levels within complex organisational environments.
* Extensive experience in planning and executing high-profile events, adhering to budgetary constraints and tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in industry-standard multimedia software and content management systems, coupled with a strong background in developing and managing impactful social media campaigns.
Work Requirements:
* A level of fitness commensurate with the requirements of the position
* Ability to work outside normal working hours when required.
* Current WA driver’s license (Desirable)
This position is based at our Curtin City Campus, candidates are expected to either be currently located in Perth, WA, or express a willingness to relocate. Please note: Only in limited situations will relocation and sponsorship support be provided.
